The following technical security features are practiced in HealthOffice to protect and safeguard the patient's protected health information (PHI) and other data. The intention of these features is to protect these confidential data from external intruders and from unauthorized person with in the office. The security mechanism is designed in such a way that right people get right access to these data based on their designation, profile or the necessity to access the data. The technical security policies are designed to meet the HIPAA standards.

The following are the technical security features implemented in HealthOffice:

Firewall
To protect the internal network from external intruders

Anti- Virus
To protect the data with us from virus attacks

Network login Authentication
System to check for right username & password for accessing the data and network resources

Password Policy
Password history, password minimum & maximum age, password length, password complexity (format) etc

Account Lockout
Mechanism of account get locked if the number of failure attempt for logon is greater than or equal to three times, account lock out time, etc

Audit Policy
Audit report or log for failed login, resources accessed, changed, etc.

Screen Saver
Auto screen saver with system lock mechanism if no activity occurs within designated time (10 mins).

FTP Security
FTP login username & password, encryption, folder access , etc.
